Eliana, let me try to summarize my thoughts on your book:
What moved me? Your total honesty, openness and willingness to confront the uncomfortable, question it and tame it.
What inspired me? You are able to put into effect those things you tell your reader are important. In the midst of noise and injustice, you find silence and inner peace.
What surprised me? The fact that war can have a positive effect like helping you get in tune with yourself, turning you inward and giving you the chance to connect with yourself so that you can better understand and connect with others.
The reader follows you as you learn and then become a teacher, as you describe what you were and are confronting, what solutions you find and can pass on.
One feels you reaching out, touching the hearts and souls of your readers. Most of us have never felt our lives were in danger, for example. You make your fear tangible; it becomes alive and we share it with you. We follow you as you regain your tranquility.
I like the way that the chapters are constructed in a somewhat parallel fashion; each could stand alone, yet they fit together well. I especially enjoyed your description of the wedding (that did take place despite the risks and danger), where you conjure up the spirit of the event, the music, the emotion.

I have read two chapters already and I am so inspired. YOU ARE WONDERFUL! YOU ARE SO STRONG! I am crying tears of joy that you are doing so well and continue to look inward towards peace. YOU ARE SUCH A SHINING EXAMPLE OF INNER AND OUTER PEACE AND PROSPERITY!
I have a list of more than 300 professionals. I will be so proud to send out the note about your book, perhaps by tomorrow.
P.S. I read that part about the breastfeeding baby. I am a huge proponent of breastfeeding. I breastfed my first daughter until she was four years old (she's 14 now and super healthy). Juliet, who just turned three last week, still "drinks" her "ging-ging" a few times a day -- even though there is no longer any milk available. It is so true that breastfeeding is such an emotional thing. For somewhat hyperactive Juliet, it is one of the only acts that calms her down and gets her focused. She loves it and no wonder! I can truly say that breastfeeding my children has perhaps been the most tender and wonderful and peaceful and Goddess-filled moments of my life. I didn't think too much about the sound implications until now, but I'm going to do some research on that.

"A powerful book with a powerful message! Quiet In The Eye Of The Storm reminds us that peace is more than the absence of war, and something that we must find within ourselves regardless of what the world seems to be showing us."
